About Us

Latin Dance Jax started in Jacksonville, Fl, in September of 2022, and is located inside Monarch Ballroom and Dance Studio. Our purpose is building the Latin Dance community in Jacksonville, and spreading the knowledge of Salsa, Bachata, Casino Salsa, Rueda, Kizomba and Zouk as great dances to learn, but also as a way to escape reality, and become part of a larger being: The Dance Family.

The Dance Family, is a large being around the world. A community of friendly people, looking to communicate nonverbally with complete strangers, while they quickly become close friends, and eventually family. No matter how your life is at home, at school, or at work, there is always a need to discover a hobby, or a new passion 100% for yourself, to give yourself a way to express yourself, meet people, stay active, and have fun. Let dancing take you by the horns, you won’t be let down.

We focus primarily on all the social Latin dances: Salsa, Bachata, Casino Salsa/Rueda, and Kizomba. We teach these classes in a group class setting at an affordable price, so anybody can participate! These dances, being social dances, means you can go out and dance these at any of our dance parties, travel to your favorite clubs, or even when you travel the globe, these dances are everywhere! There is a big following globally for these dances, so wherever you go, you will find a place to dance!
